A green space in the center of Metropolitan Kuala Lumpur. "Merdeka" with the meaning of Indepedence in Malays, it was named to celebrate the ceremony held in August 31st, 1957. On the Indepedence Day every year, parades will pass here with attendance by VIPs and thousands of spectators.The flagpole stands on the right of the above picture is the tallest in the world. The height is 93m. |
