Our Meetings:
We now meet at the Holy Covenant United Church of Christ, 3501 West WT Harris Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28269 at 6:30 PM on the second Wednesday of each month.

Upcoming/Recent Events:
We have both story book and other dolls that are displayed at local and area libraries through out the year. We have an annual exhibit at the Gastonia, NC Library the entire month of June., Our dolls are a featured exhibit at the Charlotte,NC Quilt Show each Spring. We have a permanent doll display in a vitrine at the new Levine Children's Hospital, in Charlotte, NC. The dolls are changed many times during the year. We have shown, fairy, mermaid, Santa, and circus dolls since the hospital opened last year.

This February 14th, we will display our fairy dolls at the Latta Plantation, in Charlotte, NC. There is a "fairy house building" for children. This hands-on project is based on the books, "Fairy Houses" and "Fairy Houses Everywhere" by Tracy Kane.

For past service projects we have donated dolls and stuffed animals to the Women's Shelters in Charlotte, Gastonia, and Shelby. We will be undertaking a similar project again this year. For our 2008 Christmas project our members generously donated warm clothing and toiletry items to clients at a local mental health out-patient center. The club made a monetary donation to a youth mental health project to buy bus tokens for their clients.

Each year we have a nationally known doll artist/teacher conduct a two day doll class for us. In the past we have had Gabe Cyr, Patti Culea, Barbara Willis (twice), Christine Shively, and Arley Berryhill. In April, Barbara Schoenoff will teach, her Morris, the Dancer Doll.

At regular meetings, we have a member teach an aspect of doll or doll related things. Guest speakers are also invited during the year.

We draw our regular members from the greater Charlotte metro and surrounding areas. Some of the associate members live too far away to attend regularly. Our associate members are invited to attend our doll classes, visit our meetings up to three a year, display their dolls with ours in exhibits and attend our Christmas Party. We have associate members from NC, SC, and KY. We have 25 plus members and associates.
