Service Projects

Our club raised and donated one hundred dollars for St. Jude's Children's Hospital
by having a "Yard Sale" of fabrics, embellishments, patterns, and yarns from our individual
stashes to each other at our May, 2006 meeting.







Service Projects In 2001 through 2004.
We made and donated dolls, puppets, and stuffed animals for the
Children at the Battered Women's Shelters in
Charlotte, Gastonia and Shelby, NC.
We also collected toiletry items to the women in these shelters.

These quilter dolls and chairs were made by the members of the doll club and donated
for the auction at the NC Quilt Symposium at UNC-Charlotte. The cluster of six dolls
went for $285. and the cluster of five dolls went for $250. Checks for the proceeds went
to: Breast Cancer Research and The Battered Women's Shelter in Charlotte, NC.
