I want to escape the bonds
That hold me tightly to the earth
I can feel the pressure of your hands
Pulling me down and away
From the dark open skies
The stars are bright and tempt my eye
I want to be among them
The world holds no attraction
This is not my place or time
I do not belong here with you
Will you not let me go?
Without you, I can be free
To fly and dance my life away
