Devotionals from the Upper Room
This is the part of the website where I will keep the devotionals from Wednesday Nights at The Upper Room.  At any given time I will probably only have 8 or 9 devotionals posted up here.  But I will make a list of all the devotionals I have so you can e-mail me to recieve the ones that are not posted on the website.

Who do they see??

When people look at you, do they see just another person, or do they see a Christian?
The greatest single cause of atheism is Christians who acknowledge Jesus with their lips, and deny him with their lives.
DC Talk
At first glance, you would probably think the above quote does not apply to you. You go to church, you read your bible, you are a Christian.
1 Chronicles 16: 8-9 says, Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praise to him: tell of all his wonderful acts.
This verse states that you should make known Gods name to the nations, meaning everyone. Do the people you see at school everyday, who dont go to church with you, realize that you are a Christian? The automatic answer is Of course they do! But, do they really know?
Luke 12: 8 says, I tell you, whoever acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man will also acknowledge him before the angels of God.
Are you a person who acknowledges God before men? Not just at church, but daily?
2 Timothy 1: 8 says, So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord..
But how is it possible to witness to everyone everywhere? Everywhere we go, as Christians we should be allowing others to see God in us by our actions and our words. Bring up the bible in a discussion. When someone asks you what you are doing after school, dont leave out the fact that you plan on doing a bible study before you go to sleep that night. Remember that people are always watching, and above all, that God is always watching.
Read your bible, so that you know how to handle all situations in a Christ-like manor. Pray and ask God to help you be a strong Christian, so that others can see Christ in you. An important part of witnessing is simply living the life that God desires you to live. If you dont walk the walk, no one will believe you when you talk the talk.
