| TOAD: Come, Ill show you where Rain is being held. The Pyrodorians followed the Toad out of the warehouse, and into the streets of the slave city. The Iondrossers did not have many guards out, caused by their false belief that all the Aquadorians had been captured. TOAD: Watch out on these next few streets; the guards are denser here, due to the proximity of the slave housing. His words were validated only seconds later, when a pair of guards came into view on the street. The rebel group ducked into a building on the side of the street. It used to be a shop, but now it appeared to be under renovations to become some sort of armory. Luckily, none of the workers were currently in the room. The patrol passed without a second glance at the dark shop. NOTE: Night had fallen during the Toads tale. The group had to do this a few times during the journey. However, the Pyrodorians were taken back by how insecure the city was. The invaders apparently thought that the slaves could not escape, and that no help would come, or that any help that did come would be caught at the Arch. A large building loomed ahead, encircled by a wall. Axem Inferno recognized it as the palace where he and Ice had fought H0. NOTE: See Episode 9 and 10. AXEM INFERNO: We are going to the palace? TOAD: Yes, do you not remember that is where Great Water was held? All the electric cells are there. Its where any water Axems, or any other race for that matter, would be held. The Toad brought them to a house that was very close to the wall. They climbed the stairs and then went through the attic, onto the roof. Once there, a grappling hook and rope was provided by someone, and thrown onto the wall. They climbed hand over hand onto the wall, one by one. When they had all gotten onto the wall, they dropped onto the palace grounds. The Toad apparently knew the palace well, as he led them through a series of gardens, and even a hedge maze, directly to the statue that he had been aiming for. TOAD: Here we are. AXEM INFERNO: Here? AXEM OVER FLAME: Well, hows it going Rain? Weathers nice? TARN: This must be one of the palaces many secret passages. TOAD: Yes, yes it is. Lets go in. He pressed a chunk of the statue, and a tunnel opened. When about half the people had gotten into the tunnel, a series of blasts was heard at the back of the group. AXEM INFERNO: Whats that? TARN: The Toad must have betrayed us. JK CRIMSON: Ill tear him apart, limb from limb! Everyone rushed back out. About a quarter of Pyrodorian forces had been leveled. The Kipel blasts were getting fewer and fewer. AXEM INFERNO: Lets get them! Tarn took down a few of the enemies with the dual Kipels he now considered to be part of permanent arsenal. JK Crimson twirled a lighter out of his pocket, and he was suddenly firing off blasts of fire with incredible skill. Over Flame charged up a double Oriki Blast, and Inferno fired a Pyro Beam. Suddenly, however both of the Axems fire attacks were diverted. They changed targets and hit some people that had encircled JK Crimson. AXEM INFERNO: What the- He was interrupted by some Koopas that surrounded him. He and Over Flame quickly dispatched them with their axes. The two started to charge up a massive fireball between them. It was going slowly, but then Crimson ran over and it suddenly grew at twice the speed it had been. It then exploded in all directions. It spread as a wall of inescapable size. However, whenever it came near a Pyrodorian, it divided to avoid them and closed up after. All the attackers were KOd. TARN: Quickly, we must rescue Rain before this is discovered. You four stay here and revive our wounded. KOOPA: Yes, sir! The four Koopas he had indicated set about with Life Shrooms, and started to revive their friends. AXEM INFERNO: Was that you, Crimson? JK CRIMSON: The fireball? Yes it was. AXEM OVER FLAME: Amazing. JK CRIMSON: Thanks. The four we actually know by name, along with about a dozen Koopas, entered the tunnel. TARN: What if this doesnt lead to the cells? AXEM INFERNO: Then we kick some butt and find the cells. JK CRIMSON: Sounds like a plan. After a few minutes of walking down the dark and dismal tunnel, they arrived at a door. It swung outward, so they lightly pushed it open to check. They were in a hallway. Two guards walked by. Inferno shoved the door hard, and it knocked them both down. Tarn took them out with his Kipels. There were gagged, tied up, and thrown into the passage. They saw a cell a few hundred feet down the hall. When they got there it was empty. However, they had found the dungeons of the palace. It took only a moment to find the cell with Rain. The bars were electrified and there were some cooling systems to freeze him in case he tried to move towards the other walls. AXEM RAIN: Ah. You came. AXEM INFERNO: Of course we did Shouldnt Great Water be in one of these cells too? AXEM RAIN: The Iondrossers released him. All the Pyrodorians gasped. AXEM OVER FLAME: Hey Inferno, thats the dude you and Ice beat up a while back, right? Before your fight with H0? AXEM INFERNO: And during the fight with H0. He came back for a second dose JK CRIMSON: Looks like hes waiting for Round 3. AXEM RAIN: Not to be rude but can you guys work on getting me out of here? I dont want all of you to get caught too And I doubt you feel differently. TARN: Ill get to it. He ran off to fiddle with some wires and mess up the power. The rest decided to gather some more information while they waited. AXEM INFERNO: So these Iondrossers Why did they attack? AXEM RAIN: Well thats easy. Theyre evil. AXEM OVER FLAME: Way to go Sherlock. AXEM RAIN: Sherlock? AXEM INFERNO: A famous detective from Earth. AXEM RAIN: Oh. To be more specific, they are striving to build an Iondross Empire. I believe they waited to attack until now because they heard that King H0 left, so we have no blade to counterattack with. They attacked us because they knew that they could easily defeat us They want to use us as slaves on another of their captured planets End of Episode 29 |
