GOLDEN SUMMER: M.O.T.S. Rocks April, May
Gold in April leads to May SummerFun on newest Specials©
In the immortal words of Derf Nosegrub, M.O.T.S. has cranked out two more Monthly Specials, as "quick as a bunny!!" And with the Golden April Showers of 2001 giving way to the pre-SummerFun of MOTS's first Summer Special of the season, the hottest time of the year has started at JerzyRock Radio.
"We just can't wait for summer to begin here at JerzyRock... and I couldn't wait to burn the first Summer Special," M.O.T.S. said in a press conference. "So I cranked out the May show on Saturday the 12th, to get the CD's and cassettes out to fans as soon as possible. I didn't want to wait until Memorial Day to produce the first Summer Special, even though our official observance of the season doesn't begin until then."
When asked about the contents of the show, M.O.T.S. replied, "What, didn't you listen to the fu*ker on Saturday? You mental!" Further probing revealed that the May Summer Special actually features a great 3-Shot from Van Halen, some other 1979 memories from the Cars and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, as well as a countdown of the #1 Billboard© hits from May of 1976, The Year Of The Century in Music. And with artists as diverse as Springsteen, Stone Temple, Creed, and Steppenwolf, the first installment of the M.O.T.S. Summer Specials Series 2001 promises to be an eclectic ride.
"Don't forget about the April Monthly Special," M.O.T.S. warned. "That friggin' show really rocked!
It was a great end to the Spring Season, and I hope it isn't eclipsed by the May show, coming so close behind it."
With tracks like Aerosmith's "Outta Your Head", Incubus' "Drive", and classic Jimmy Buffett, Fleetwood Mac, and Bob Welch, it's unlikely that fans will forget about the golden April installment. As with the May Summer Special, the April show is an official 25th Anniversary Production of the "Spirit of '76", celebrating the Silver Anniversary of the Year of the Century in Music.
Both shows are available on CD and cassette (and the cassettes feature TWO bonus tracks). The CD's are nearly 80 minutes long, and the cassettes clock in at about 90 minutes. To find out about pricing, just
