| Below I have listed what I have been able to locate so far on the Coffey family. In the future I do hope to be able to find more information. Here is the information I currently have listed below. William Coffey was born probably in Donegal Ireland. He married Ellen Daniel who was also born in Donegal Ireland. They met on the ship while coming to the USA. It is believed they married in New York City. This information was supplied by our cousin Marge Coffey Dunigan. CHILDREN OF WILLIAM AND ELLEN ARE: Charles b 1875 Woodbridge NJ; died 1955 Michael Patrick Joseph Anna John Edward Charles b 1875 married Agnes Dunham b abt 1878 on May 29, 1895 in St James Church Woodbridge New Jersey. Agnes was the daughter of David Dunham and Ellen Hogan. Charles died in about 1955 and Agnes died in about 1915. Children of Charles and Agnes are as follows John Joseph b November 9, 1900, d November 25, 1944 William Charles David Edward Michael Coffey b married Lillian Coll. Children of Michael and Lillian are as follows: Eleanor b Private Margaret b Private Patrick Joseph Coffey married Anna Unknown at present. Anna was raised by nuns at St Elizabeth's convent in Caldwell NJ Child of Patrick and Anna is as follows: Daniel Anna Coffey b unk married Unknown Powers. Anna died 8 months after having child Child of Anna and Unk Powers is as follows: William Edward Coffey married Elsie Kelly Children of Edward and Elsie are as follows: Helen Kenneth |

| Charles was the eldest of the Coffey brothers. He and his sons owned the College Inn on Main St. Woodbridge NJ. While the children were still quite young, it is believed Agnes killed herself due to Charles womanizing. The children were split up. William, David and Charles went to live with their Coffey grandmother. John stayed with his Aunt Maggie and John Coffey in Woodbridge, and Edward stayed with his grandmother Dunham for a while than went to live with another family, where he slept in a dresser drawer. John Joseph Coffey was born November 9, 1900 and married Dorothy Hazel MacIver b September 3, 1903 , on December 22, 1922 in Woodbridge, New Jersey. John died November 25, 1944 and Dorothy died on January 4, 1989. Children of John and Dorothy are as follows: Grace Agnes Coffey b June 2, 1923 Ruth Elaine Coffey b August 8, 1924 John Joseph Coffey b June 13, 1926 Robert George Coffey b April 20, 1930 Patricia Joan Coffey b May 13, 1937 William Coffey spent most of his life living in a home in Vineland, when he was 15 or 16 years of age he was hit in the head with a baseball bat causing brain damage. He would come to visit John and Dorothy often. He always wore a raccoon hat and loved creme donuts. Charles may have married but at present time have no record of a marriage. David married a woman by the name of Rose ?, still trying to locate a relative on this branch to help with family history. Edward married Helen Brien and had a son Kenneth. He than married Martha and had a son by the name of John (Jack). |

| Grace Agnes Coffey married Walter James Dougherty and had the following children: Jacqueline Anne, Joyce Marie, Susanne Kathleen and Diane Agnes. Ruth Elaine Coffey married Patrick Joseph Noone and had the following children: Barbara Ann, Patrick Joseph and Kathleen. John Joseph Coffey married Margot Shubert and had the following children: Karin, Thomas and Dorothy. Robert George Coffey married Mary Lavin and had the following child: Kathleen, he married Mildred Grimes and they had no children. Patricia Joan Coffey married Richard X Wittek and had the following children: Kevin, Thomas, Rose, Ruth, Irene, Brian, Richard, Mary Ann and Patricia Grace. |
