          MACIVER BRANCH
To date this is what I have found on the MacIver/McIver side of the family. As of October 11, 2001 I have been in contact with our cousin Margaret Astbury Mills who has sent me further information on the MacIver family.
Our grgrgrgrgrandfather COLIN MACIVER b abt 1770 Lower Barvas, Isle of Lewis,Scotland married to Ann Murray also born in Lower Barvas, Isle of Lewis, Scotland.
Son of Colin and Ann was Angus MacIver b 1799  in Lower Barvas, Isle of Lewis, Scotland d 1/18/1878 in Milan Quebec Canada married Mary Matheson b 1805 in Lower Barvas, Isle of Lewis Scotland D 1/16/1886 in Milan Quebec Canada.  Son of Angus and Mary was Donald/Daniel b April 25,1827 in Lower Barvas, Isle of Lewis, Scotland d May 20, 1906 in Milan Quebec Canada, and married Margaret MacLeod b 1832 Brenish of Uig. Isle of Lewis Scotland and d 1916 in Milan Quebec Canada.
On the 1900 Federal Census for New Jersey, found grgreatgrandfather Daniel McIver born April, 1827, Lower Barvas, Isle of Lewis, Scotland, married to Margaret MacLeod  b September 1837 living at Grier Avenue, Elizabeth, New Jersey.  Daniel and Margaret were married in 1854.  Daniel was the youngest of 11 children.  He was a Captain in the Scottish Guard.  It looks as though Daniel left Scotland in the late 1840's or early 1850's.  Daniel and Margaret are both buried in Rosedale Cemetery, Linden New Jersey along with 3 of their children.  My grgrandfather Daniel Albert and their daughters Margaret and Christina and family .

All of Daniel and Margaret's children were born in Canada
                                
Daniel Albert birthdate abt 1875 married Sydnia Fitzpatrick b 1882 in Ballyshannon Ireland.  Sydnia is the daughter of Unknown Fitzpatrick and Unknown Summerville/Somerville.  Daniel died Thanksgiving Day 1912 and is buried in Rosedale Cemetery Linden New Jersey and Sadie died May 4, 1940 and is believed to be buried in Rahway Cemetery Rahway, New Jersey, this fact is now been resolved and I have plot number.

                                          all of Daniel and Sadie's children born in Elizabeth New Jersey.
John married Unknown and went west with the Gold Rush, however two of his children were living in 1900 with Daniel and Margaret at their home on Grier Avenue in Elizabeth New Jersey.

Christina born October 1856, married Edward Pearce born August 1852 in England  Both are buried in Rosedale Cemetery, Linden, New Jersey.

                                      Edward                 born March 1888 in New Jersey
                                      George                  born April 1891 in New Jersey 
Malcolm either remained in Canada or returned.  He was a Royal Mountie.  Currently no further information is available.
Belle was a nurse in Massachusettes
Catherine married Samuel John Astbury b September 4, 1853 of Inverness Quebec Canada d May 8, 1913 of Litchfield, Blue Hills, Maine where they has a maple sugar farm.  Catherine died  February 1, 1913. They had a son named Richard Daniel.
Richard Daniel b September 6, 1875 Lennonville Quebec Canada married Margaret Clark b December 6, 1875 of New Pitsligo Aberdeen Scotland d August 3 1947 Litchfield Maine   Richard and Margaret had a son George Samuel b January 1, 1912 in Elizabeth, NJ died October 17, 1963 in Lisbon Falls, Me.  George married Ellen Louise Bold b July 4 1911 in Seekonk Me d April 22 1981 Augusa Me.  George and Ellen had a daughter Margaret Clara Astbury b private Gardiner Me married Blaine Aubrey Mills b private in Berlin NH
William is said to have died in the sinking of the SS Maine in Havana Harbor, Havanna, Cuba on February 28, 1898.  This is still being researched.
The next part are the grandchildren of Daniel Albert and Sydnia Fitzpatrick.  They are as follows:
                      Ruth married DeWitt Foulks had a son John Foulks
                      Daniel married only for a short time, currently do not have wife's name.

                     George married Roberta Peterson had 2 sons Loren and Todd
                     Earl married 1) Marge Cooke had son Earl Jr 2) Sara ?? had 2 sons John and
                        James
