I have written a number of poems, starting back in 1998, while I was doing HSC. I used it as a sort of release of steam, and as an escape from the stress. My subject matter is usually aspects of aviation, but not strictly.  I used the Aviation scene as just that. A scene on which the poems can be built at a safe distance. In some poems my inspiration was the poetry of Bruce Dawe, an Australian poet. Some others were inspired by the poetry of Kenneth Slessor, another Australian, and currently my favorite poet.  Yet others were based on Ideas and atmospheric effects of music I have listened to. Anyway the links below are arranged in roughly the order or writing. Poems marked by a "*" (no speechmarks) are considered by me to be my favorite "own poems” At the end of most poems I briefly give a little of it's history. The poem "Night Mission III" was the last of those written in highschool. After that time my poetic output has slowed, but in my own opinion, matured and some of my best work has been written since the year 2000 in my opinion.
I hope you like them.
