Mach 2 Mountaineering
Indistinguishable features
Flash by: hill, tree, person, tank
Bright glare, sprinkled glitter. WARNING!
Too low, Bank too steep Recover.
Shudder: as the world darkens at nine G's
With Pain: as the world reddens at negitave four
or relief: as the colours return
to the Green, Yellow, Brown, Blue
Scuddling indistinguishable features
of an earth going by. The only constant
The green symbology on a plexiglass
and the thundering in the ears of your heartbeat.

This poem was the one written alongside "Night Mission". I wanted to convey a sense of urgent panic and of sheer speed. The words are rather hard sounding, and it should be read quite fast. this poem was written very fast too. It took only about 2 or 3 minutes to complete. I wrote it in the form that it stands now. I simply started with the first line and wrote to the end. The original title was a rather boring "Mach 2- 50 feet" but I decided on the new name later at the descression of a friend. I think it was Tim. that was only a matter of days after the poem had been composed. It is overall my least re-edited poem.
