Descent!
Across the empty expanses of sky
The jetcraft does plough
Steadily onward toward horizon
Stretched glittering across the far and wide

Only the constant hushed rush of engines
thrown echo far down below
to where nothing hears it, nothing at all.
The golden sun glares hard and fast
onto paint faring hot, seared onto metal
like hot hot wax on skin, burning.
The refractions glinting like a jewel
seen by no-one.

As the wings slice like a knife through the thin air
invisible and unbreathable
they leave long strips of moisture
white rips in invisibility, striping away
and being flung fast and wide, behind
away and below.
Falling free at the mercy of gravity
through chilling hard rock wind
Blasting like an icy furnace
the bitter cold.

And down further more through the white chilling depths of cloud
and further on through ever increasing velocities
into the endless sea,
Oblivious of the craft, now miles away
roaring silently to the void
which gave it birth.
