Chapter 9

~A Few Weeks Later~

"Are you sure you'll be okay?" Alea asked. "I'll be fine, I'm gonna hang out with the girls" Nathan smiled back at her. "Okay.... I guess I'll see you in about two weeks" Alea hugged Nathan. Alea and the guys quickly huddled onto the plane, for the first overseas trip. They were going to Canada for a week and a half. "So now what?" Candy asked everyone. "How 'bout I treat you lovely girls to lunch?" Nathan asked. The girls smiled and the group headed out to lunch.

~At Lunch~

"Thanx Nathan for lunch it was wonderful" Marybeth said as she wiped her mouth with her napkin. Nathan waved the waiter over and odered four coffee's for them. "So, I was wondering if I could ask you something?" Nathan asked the girls. "Sure, anything" Jessica answered. "Well Alea doesn't really talk to much about her past relationships. I know her and Scott had something but how long were they actually together?" "Well" Jessica began to respond, "I guess the first night she got here was when they first started going out. It lasted just about a year" she finished. "Well what happened" Nathan questioned. "Just not right for each other?" he finished. The girls somehow got lost, and seemed to forget who they were talking to. "Not right?" Candy laughed. "Please, they we're perfect for each other" Marybeth said. "We all knew it right from the start" Jessica started. "I mean what else does it mean when the couple breaks up one day, and an hour later confeses their love for one another" the girls laughed. "Well that's pretty normal for couples" Nathan asked confused. "Not the first date!" Marybeth laughed. "I'm confused. If they were so perfect why did they break up?" Nathan asked. "Well it was a hard relationship to survive. Not only did they have the regular couple obstacles, they also had to deal with the fact he was in the spotlight." Marybeth said. "But I guess the thing that began the end was when she was shot" Jessica said sadly. "What?" Nathan asked confused. "Alea was shot that December at a public party, by what everyone thinks was a crazy fan." Candy said quietly. "She almost died, actually I believe she was clinically dead for a minute. She was shot in the chest, right in the crowd" Candy shock her head, the story still seemed unbelieveable. "Scott saw it all, until he was dragged away by security. It took hours before they told us anything. Scott went to the hospital and stayed with her, all the doctors said there was no chance she would live. Alea pulled through and Scott took care of her. Once she was well Alea sorta wanted to pretend it never happened, go back to living her life as if it never happend. But Alea didn't realize the true extent of what happened, I mean she was in a semi-coma all those times Scott was watching over her. The nurses told us he broke down many times..... Alea never knew that. Scott totally thought it was his fault... his fault he was famous.....his fault he invited her. So he bacame over protective, and Alea didn't understand. She would get yelled at for going out, yet at the same time he was going out and she wasn't invited" The girls were all getting teary "Don't tell Alea this, but she jumped to conclusions. She thought Scott didn't love her anymore but didn't know how to tell her. God..... if only she would have talked to us before she did what she did" Jessica wiped a tear. "What did she do?" Nathan asked. "She went to the house when the guys weren't home and packed her suitcase. But because Scott was upset over the fight he came home early, to apoligise. When he came home she was walking out the door, suitcase in hand. We never found out the entire conversation, but I don't think Scott has told all of it. But from what we know she refused for him to say anything, and said she had to do this. She then walked out the door never stepping back into his life till this year" Jessica cried a few more silent tears before excusing herself to the bathroom.

~That Night in Canada~

Alea and the guys were all joking around in the hotel room. She was having an absolute blast, it was so nice to be back with her friends. Suddenly Sean screamed "Kodak Moment!!!!!!!" The whole group huddled together. Abs had been helping Alea through this whole awkward moment of working with Scott, so she wasn't shocked at all when she felt arms around her and a face on her head. The picture was snapped, and Alea turned around laughing along with everyone else to hug Abs only to find it wasn't Abs..... It was Scott.................................
