Economics is gnenerally known to be the science of analysis as well as synonymous to the science of decision. This course aims not at acquiring trivia factoids about the current state of the economy. It rather aims at thorough understanding of rationales and methodical frameworks of economics, developing critical reasoning, acquiring rigorous analytical skills and forming algebraic thought-processing habits that can be applied in any problem-solving situations even long after the rote memory wears out.

There will be 5 quizzes/homeworks to be given at random. Students are required to closely review the lecture notes to be prepared for the quiz at any time. Mid-Term will constitute 30%, Final 30%, 3 best out of 5 quizzes/homeworks 30%, and Attendance 10% of your grade. Attendance will be checked at random.

Attendance & Class Participation:
This is a graduate course. Attendance is strictly your responsibility. Pls remember that most of the materials to be treated in the class are technical. If you miss a class, it will be difficult to make it up on your own. If you have to miss a class, email me sufficiently ahead of time. If you miss a class w/o any notice, pls be advised that you are doing it at your own risk. Class participation/discussion is welcomed if it is appropriate and relevant to the lecture material. Far-fetched or unstructured moot arguments are not appreciated.
