My 1973 2600 V6 4-Speed returns to storage near MALIBU, CA after restoration repair #1 in Fall 2003 that empties $1,100 from the wallet, yet doesn't quite get the car roadworthy.  Repairs #2 and #3 -- some $450 more during the weeks of March 1 and March 8 2004-- get it barely roadworthy with much more yet to do, including 2004 plans for new tires, windshield and all sealing rubber.  Picture was taken in February 2004 just before repair set #2 that began Monday, 01 March 2004, after our Island's lunch in Agoura, CA on 2-29-2004.

"...What Is..."
Years of proper treatemnt keep Ed & Jim R's 1973 interior nice, tidy and great to show off to us other owners as great inspiration of What Should Be in a classic car.
Picture is from Feb 04 Island's Lunch.
"...and What Never Should Be..."
Years of sun damage destroyed my cheap aftermarket ProCar driving seats.
Lucky for me the stock seats were stored in the back, covered up ... and finally reupholstered in 2002 as the very first step in my lon-awaited CAPRI RESTORATION.
Picture is from Feb 2004 Island's.

But notice my nice rebuilt radiator, courtesy of AUTOWAVE Honda/Acura of Huntington Beach.

Also notice that my 1983 circa chromed air cleaner
needs re-chroming!

Twelve Year Lonely Existence Interrupted by Two Visitors
Just one day before GAECMTxxxxx's second foray back to the mechanic for some much-awaited mechanical TLC, it gets a visit from ED/JIM's and SCOTT's 1973 2600s on Island's Lunch Day, Feb 29th, 2004,
at the CAPRI COMPOUND near Malibu, CA.
"Honey, would you mind pulling the car into the garage?"
To anyone's better half, friends, relatives and neighbors, this has gotta be a PURE EYESORE.
To the Classic Car Enthusiast, it's
PURE BEAUTY
of potential dreams come true.  ( circa 2004 or so ).
