Crooked Tree
On the way from the airport to the lodge, Robert took us through a little backroad area where we spotted some Fork-tailed Flycatchers.

The next day, Robert took us on a boat tour of the Crooked Tree Lagoon.

A very common bird, the Jacana is a marsh bird that is light enough to walk on the lily pads.

Male (left) and Female (right) Snail Kites. The snails in the lagoon get quite large (we saw some that were about 4 inches across). These Kites have strong, hooked beaks to pry the snails out of their shells.
