RV-12 Kit Plane ProjectI am having a great time building this kit airplane. The RV-12 is a LSA (Light Sport Aircraft) from Van's Aircraft in Aurora, OR. I visited the factory and saw both the original and the final version of the plane. The wings are detachable, like a glider. Each wing spar crosses the fuselage so that each of the two retaining pins goes through both wings. The support from Vans is just great. Most builders will start with the empennage, but the early builders started with the first available kit which was the wing.

Fly FishingWhen I am not building something, I like to fly fish on remote small streams in Oregon.
