UNDER (BRAIN) CONSTRUCTION
I have come up with an idea for a newsletter of sorts, but I need feedback on it. My idea is to spread the Word of God to people through email. People would join the email list as they pleased through a link on my website or by word of mouth through friends. The email would consist of a section from the Bible (probably in NIV) and any other little tidbit I, as well as readers, find useful. I would seek to make it what the readers want, adding and changing its character as so needed, but always having it centered on delivering the Word to peoples emailboxes.
My purpose for this is to help encourage people (and myself!) to read the Bible everyday which is so important in spiritual growth. In order to keep ones relationship with anyone, they need two way communication; to learn more about someone, you talk with them. Our relationship with Jesus Christ is no different. We speak to Him through prayer, and He speaks to us through His Word, the Bible. Therefore, if we do not read His Word, how can we have a proper relationship at all, it is all one sided and we are not learning about who God is and what He did for us.
