Japanese mementos Slideshow of Japanese robe
|
An unidentified robe This particular garment is very unusual. It appears suitable for a child due to its size and to the nature of the pattern of Japanese soldiers and weapons of war coupled with blocks of animal images. It is also unusual in that there is a short sleeve on the right side of the garment while the left side appears to never have been designed to hold a similar sleeve (but is it possible that it is missing or is an incomplete garment). There are also drops of what appears to be blood along the collar area of the upper left side. July 6, 2007 © Jerry Copeland |
