Japanese mementos
|
In November 1945 my father was stationed in Japan as part of the
occupation forces. Before his unit was deactivated (in December
1945), he collected a few mementos in Japan. One of these was a
kimono which I believe he purchased for his wife and another
robe which may have been meant as a gift for his infant sons.
