Julian married Lydia Alma Graier (02SEP1909-) on 13OCT1923. Together, they had fourteen children; Zelda Gloria Sons, Lloyd Noel Sons, Horace Ivy Sons, Ballard Joseph Sons, Leola Mary Sons, Julian Justin Sons II, Myrvel Louis Sons, Irma Lee Sons, Shirley Mea Sons, Diane Sons, Paulette Sons, Barry Leonard Sons, and Jimmy Patrick Sons.

Julian died on 16SEP1978 from cancer.
