WAI! I'm not dead!! ^_^ Yet again, I have done this weird thing where I combined one thing I really like (Fushigi Yuugi) with another thing I really like (*NSYNC). The result is that I have started a fanfic in which the members of *NSYNC take over certain roles in the Fushigi Yuugi world. It is the basic Fushigi Yuugi plot that we all know and love, with some drastic differences: no longer is it Miaka and Yui engaging in a battle of wits; no longer is Tamahome a 17-year old pervert (well, okay, he'll still be a pervert ^_^); no longer does Nakago possess the cold, calculating maturity he earned by being one of the oldest characters.
I'm posting the story up on my *NSYNC fanfiction website (here, if you are interested), and I will link the pages from here. Whereas most *NSYNC fans know nothing of the Fushigi Yuugi universe, most FY fans don't kow anything about *NSYNC (and/or could care less ^^;;;). Therefore, I made a primer page for those of you who might want to read the FY tale through *NSYNC's eyes, but need some basics on the fellas involved, and the roles they're taking over.
This story will be yaoi/shonen ai. Consider yourself warned.

July 2, 2000:
Okay, brief update. A few months ago, Geocities deleted one of my accounts, where I had most of the pictures from the image galleries on this site stored.... that means that as some of you might have noticed, you can't get some of these pictures any more. ^^;;;; I had thought originally that the pictures were long gone since I didn't have backups, but I've recently come across backups of nearly every one of them, SO once I can set up another account I will upload said pictures and change the links, okay? Thanks for bearing with me!
In other news, I'm still not going anywhere with "To Love You Again". I'm seriously considering ending it at Part 4, because the creative juices are simply not flowing any longer. Stay tuned.
[later that day...]
Okay, all the picture links should be fixed now... here's hoping! *crosses fingers*
April 3, 2000:
I'll bet this time you REALLY thought I'd died, didn't you? *huge sweatdrop* Okay, so the three-month break I was planning to take took a little longer than that... like... oh... another three months. Ahem. Right. Well, I'm not back all the way yet. Boy, did I ever need the break, though. This site is pretty much the way I want it, so I just don't feel as inclined to make regular updates any more. I mean, what is there to do besides add another picture here, a Precious Moment there, a joking advice offering on the side?
There is new news on the Fushigi Yuugi manga/graphical novel/animated series/dub/sub front as well. Unfortunately, I haven't been abreast of said news. Ooops. As soon as I get on top of those things I'll update the site with the tidbits y'all need to know. And it'll be before another six months pass, this much I can promise you. ^_^
October 25:
Wow, you thought I'd died, didn't you? ^_^ Well, almost. It's midterm season now, and I am frazzled.
I have also decided to... *deep breath* take a break from updating this page for a while. I've really poured a lot of myself into this page and I'm proud of the work I've done on it (I've grown so much and learned so much from working on it), but sometimes you need to spend some time away from the things you like lest they become too familiar. Absence makes the heart grow fonder and all that. So I'm setting a haitus of... let's say... three months. I will re-evaluate where I stand on this page and Fushigi Yuugi on January 25th and let you know what's up then.
On the agenda:
I have several requests for advice that I have yet to fill -- I will do them, don't worry.
Some people have been asking when I will finish To Love You Again. I still don't know. This being burnt out on Fushigi Yuugi thing has taken its toll on my creativity big time. I do intend to finish it, with or without help, trust me. But it may still be a long time coming. Sorry!
I am also changing my URL-redirection name... the come.to/meri link should still work, but you can link to me at just plain http://jayliz.tripod.com -- that's short enough, isn't it? ^_^
Oh, one more thing. I just got an email from the people who provide my form services, and they have stopped doing so due to user abuse (damn spammers!). So my form won't be working any more, and therefore, until I get off my behind and find another form provider and change all the code on that page, you won't be able to submit requests for advice. Check back in three months! Sorry (I'm apologizing a lot)...
Anyhoo, a contributing factor to my loss of interest in this site is my growing adoration for the "best rag-tag bunch of pretty-boys on the planet" -- that would be 'N Sync. *hehe* I've even made a webpage about them, and that's been taking up the time I would normally have spent working here... if you're interested, check it out.
I want to thank everyone who has emailed me or signed my guestbook with kind happy thoughts... I made this page for you as much as for me. I'm glad you enjoy it and I hope it will be around for a long time to come!
Peace, y'all, and see you in three months!
September 11:
Okay, I'm not done with the advice yet, but there are several completed. Check them out here.
I'm switching my guestbook patronage to DreamBook. I can't believe how crappy GuestWorld has been.
You may have noticed the obnoxious pop-up window that V-3 services has imposed on me for my virtual URL. Grr. I would shop around for a better redirection service, but I don't want to impose an address change on you guys. What do you think?
In other, unrelated news: I found a real-life, celebrity bishonen! Lance Bass from 'N Sync! Woo! *_*
September 5:
Ugh... I really am burnt out on this page. @_@ I updated some of the precious moments, and Sailor Xanadu ^_~ is busting her buns with a slew of requests for advice, so stay tuned for that later today or in the week....
Hellooo, GuestWorld? >_< What is up with them? My guestbook has been down for like a week, and I am not impressed. I may be switching guestboooks soon. I'm giving them two more days to clean up their act, then vamoose.
July 9:
Oroooooooo... @_@ *Meri sinks to the floor with her eyes spiraling dizzily*
I just spent about five hours going through the site and fixing all the broken links. Plus some other stuff. Yuck.
Check the Nuriko shrine, links, precious moments, image gallery, story summary, and advice pages (in other words, just about everything on the site) for updated content and fixed links.
Tripod is doing this weird thing where it won't load my background images. I don't know what's up with them, but I don't like it one bit. Anyway, just so you know, the images are there -- it's Tripod's fault you can't see them! >_<
In other news, 8op.com is down, so I'm shopping for another mirror site location...
Later the same day...
I added another Nuriko fanfic by Kei Masaki to the Nuriko shrine. Enjoy ^_^
Added a link to the Blue Ribbon campain to my index page. That oughta cover any content on my site as far as US jurisdiction goes. Unfortunately, I live in Canada... -_-;;; so who knows what the crazy gov't might do to me here. *quiver*
