So yeah; anyway, I'm working on this *NSYNC/FY crossover story, called "For The One I Love". You may like Fushigi Yuugi, but what are the odds that you like *NSYNC as much as I do? Not good odds, I'll say. So you might not really care, and you might not want to read this fic -- after all, it is simply the Fushigi Yuugi story retold with different characters. But if you give it a chance, you might want to be able to put faces to the names, and know some general characteristics....
Note: When I say someone's blood type is "probably" something or the other, I'm basing that on the typical personality descriptions given for the various blood types, and how I evaluated each of the guys. While I have some idea of what their real personalities are like, I don't know the guys, and don't presume to be able to accurately describe them in that manner, let alone know their true blood types. It's all in fictional fun, anyway. Now--
Meet...
Lance Bass -- replacing Miaka Yuuki
This is my hero-- er, the story's hero, Lance ^^;;. He is 21 years old. He's about 5'9" with green eyes, blood type probably A. In this story he's a Physics major at a generic Florida university. One particularly distinctive thing about real-life Lance (besides his slight southern accent) is that he has a deep bass voice. Not quite Hotohori deep (if you've seen the subtitled version), but deep. Also, in this version of Fushigi Yuugi, he's going to have some issues to work through....
JC Chasez -- replacing Yui Hongo
This is JC ^_^. The "JC" stands for "Josh (Joshua) Chasez". Yes, that makes the name "JC Chasez" redundant. No matter, lol. He is 24, stands 5'10" with blue eyes, and his blood type is probably B. He's a philosophy grad student at the same university as his best friend Lance, and he's got a great interest in Chinese, both as a language and as a culture.
I really was not fond of Yui in the original series, so I'm going to try my darnedest to make JC into a more sympathetic character in comparison. I'm not guaranteeing anything, though ^^;;. Um... yeah, I think that's about it.
Joey Fatone -- replacing "Tamahome"
I put the "Tamahome" in quotes because Joey will be Tamahome, but of course the person of Tamahome will be different. Joey will go by his given name rather than his seishi name, so that we can keep them separate. Joey's 24, Italian, 6'0", brown eyes, blood type probably O.
Justin Timberlake -- replacing "Nakago"
It was my great pleasure making the golden boy of *NSYNC into one of the evillest villians in the anime world. Mwehehehe. Justin's 20, approx. 6'2", blue eyes, blood type probably AB. As with Joey, Justin will be going by his given name rather than by "Nakago."
Chris Kirkpatrick -- replacing Tetsuya Kajiwara
Chris is 29, stands about 5'8", and has brown eyes. His blood type is probably O. In this story he's not only the friend of Lance's sister Stacy, who draws his attention to the magical book; he's also her research advisor/supervisor, a PhD in anthropology with a major in Ancient Chinese Studies.
Britney Spears -- replacing "Soi"
Again, Britney will go by her own name after introducing herself as Soi. I figured that since in real life, Justin and Britney are romantic partners, I would have them together in this story as well. It's very twisted, and I don't like to think about it much. Sorry. Britney's 19 and stands 5'3" with brown eyes, and I haven't bothered to figure out what her blood type might be.
Stacy Bass -- replacing Kiesuke Yuuki

I replaced Miaka's brother with Lance's real-life sister (married in real life; not married for purposes of my story). Isn't that sick? Yeah, I thought so. But anyway, Stacy's going to be filling this role; the link between the audience and the heroes in the Universe of the Four Gods. Also a grad student at this generic university, she's pursuing a Masters in anthropology, majoring in Ancient Chinese Studies. Just to give you a mental image, she's 24 (I think), maybe about, let's say, 5'6", with blonde hair and blue eyes, and I'll just stress that there is a strong family resemblance ^_^.
