PINK FREAKIN' FLOYD!!!
I first started getting into Pink Floyd when I was a Sophomore in highschool. The summer before I became a Sophomore, my family and I went to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland Ohio. Right when we got there I noticed they had a setup based on "The Wall" on the 4th Floor. I looked up and was like "what the..." because all I could really see was the blue creepy looking guy hanging in the air. I asked Mom what the heck that was up there, and she was like "thats from Pink Floyds "The Wall", and I was like "oh, ok...yeah Ive heard of them, I dont think I like them very much"  Then later that day when we got up there I got to walk through "The Wall" and watch some of their videos. I still wasnt completely convinced I liked them all that much, but I thought "The Wall" looked pretty cool. Then a couple of months later I pulled my Dads copy of "The Wall" off of the shelf and listened to it. I was completely and thoroughly shocked at how good it was. I'd never heard anything else like it, ever. So then a couple of days later I put it on cassette and listened to it basically non-stop for quite some time. Then Dad kept telling me how good "Darkside of the Moon" is (lol he was probably sick of me talking about how good "The Wall" is) so then I listened to it too. Once again, I was shocked, its even better than "The Wall". Then one night I was listening to the radio and this program called "Off The Record" came on, that night they just happened to be featuring Pink Floyd. So then I listened to about the whole program and learned some stuff about the band, and by the time it was over, Pink Floyd was my favorite band. There now you know how I started listening to Pink Floyd.
