Syd Barrett (1966-68) Lead Guitar/Songwritter |
Syd Barrett named the band Pink Floyd. He got that name by combining the names of two Georgia bluesmen: Pink Anderson and Floyd Council. He was the youngest member of the band when he joined at 19. While he was with the band he developed drug induced Schizophrenia and his mental health slowly deteriorated. He was apparently asked to leave the band in 1968. |
