MEAN hombré David Beckham blows into town — to film a spaghetti western. And the sharp-shooting soccer hero brought along his own Magnificent 7 — the Man United squad number on the back of his long brown coat. Becks, 27, looked every inch the gunslinger as he shot a top-secret Pepsi ad in Almeria, Spain — setting for Sergio Leone’s famed spaghetti westerns starring Clint Eastwood.
And like other Western heroes, the stetson-clad England skipper is sure to be earning a Fistful of Dollars. Becks, who wore his United shirt under his coat, spent the weekend in Spain filming the ad, surrounded by several identically-dressed stand-ins. The bizarre plot pits him against Real Madrid hotshots Raul, Roberto Carlos and Zinedine Zidane.
But cowpoke Beckham evens up the odds by bringing in the Good, the Bad and the Ugly — including Old Trafford pardners Ryan Giggs, Fabien Barthez and Paul Scholes. Good call, Becks. As any United fan will tell you, they’re not the types to Dodge City.
