HE'S BIG IN BIRMINGHAM ... the gigantic new David Beckham ad for Adidas next to the M6
DAVID
BECKHAM has the biggest head in the world — and that's official!
Motorists on the M6 are likely
to be stunned to see the 25-metre high picture of the England skipper on the
side of Birmingham's Fort Dunlop. Beckham's bonce is on an
enormous adidas ad which takes up nearly an ACRE and will be visible for more
than a mile. The Manchester United midfield
man admitted: "I can't believe I'm going to be 25 metres high in Birmingham
in May and June! "I think it's going to be
absolutely amazing. I've seen the pictures already and it's going to look
great." The gigantic Becks picture
measures 20m from forehead to chin and another 20m from ear to ear. His nose
alone is five metres long. The two-ton advertisement is
bigger than a normal football pitch, while a 20-man team have spent the last
three days constructing it. The ad is part of a huge adidas
World Cup campaign focusing on GoldenBalls Beckham, who is now the highest-paid
player in the world having just signed his new, £90,000-a-week United deal.
Hundreds of Beckham poster sites across the UK will now feature the company's 'Cometh the hour' slogan.
Harry Torrance of the Giant Poster Company said: "The construction of this ad has been a very tough process. We've had cranes, trucks and climbing experts working through the night to get this up in time and safely.
"At least we now have some idea how he feels having the weight of the nation on his shoulders!"
