He may be hobbling on one foot right now but England soccer supremo David Beckham has still managed to slip in a quick deal with Castrol oil.

The multi-million pound contract means the Manchester United star will appear on advertising billboards around the world – starting with the Far East.

According to the oil giant, research in Thailand, Vietnam and China showed Beckham would be ideal for the job. That was presumably before his latest injury and the possibility of not making the first game of the World Cup.

Castrol already have tie-ups with Jaguar Formula One, the Honda World Superbike squad and other major teams.

Still, oils well that ends well...
