Although Large corporations, like Levis, have close ties to both the government and powerful lobby groups, they really should have no ties to a political debate. Given that Levis is a major corporation with virtually limitless funds, it seems highly unlikely that a fair and non-partial debate could take place in an atmosphere of such blatant influence peddling. The argument that we have to restrict gun ownership to protect the children, just doesn't wash when you consider that "child-aged murderers" is a completely new phenomenon and that guns were much more available in the past than they are today. |
