According to a January 7, 1999, Associated Press report, there was an 82 percent increase in fires caused by candles since 1990. Candle "misuse" caused 126 deaths, 9,930 fires and $170.6 million in property damage in 1996, alone. (Given that this is the case, should we not demand the immediate registry of all candles?)
"Our main agenda is to have all guns banned. We must use whatever means possible. It doesn't matter if you have to distort facts or even lie. Our task of creating a socialist America can only succeed when those who would resist us have been totally disarmed." (Sarah Brady of Handgun Control Inc., In the National Educator, January 1994, pg3)
The United Nations Committee passed a resolution calling for member nations to adopt measures to limit the private ownership of guns. U.N. promoted regulations would include: licensing of all firearms businesses, amnesty programs for the surrender of privately owned illegal firearms, mandatory gun safety training where ownership is legal, standardized penalties for firearms violations, and creating a universal serial-number system to keep track of all privately owned firearms. Editor's Note: What did the UN and Nato do when Serbia caved in to their demands? It sent in troops to storm the houses of those with registered firearms, beating down their doors if neccessary, and seized those arms by force. It is clear, looking at UN documents, that our laws on firearms are being written by the UN. We have: gun registry, safety programs, special penalties for criminal acts committed with firearms, gun amnesties, an overall reduction in the variety of firearms on the market and the number of foreign markets where firearms can be sold. The only question is, what do they have planned for us? |
