Mr. Huang proved to be incredibly helpful to the democratic party, with the Wall Street Journal estimating his fundraising efforts for the party raised approximately 4 to 5 million dollars in just one year. Many of these contributions were extremely suspect, coming from Chinese residents, who could ill-afford to donate such sums. It Works Both Ways:
Clinton gives as well as he gets. The monies that he and his party received from Communist Chinese supporters, kept his government quiet during open and blatant incidences of communist infiltration.
A classic example is provided by Peter Lee, who was assigned to a classified Pentagon Project in 1997. Mr. Lee told Chinese nuclear weapons experts all about advanced radar technology in a lecture he gave in Beijing in May, 1997 (BBC News 05/10/99). This was a serious breech of U.S. national security. This technology is closely guarded because the U.S. navy's ability to hide its submarines is a key military advantage.
