The Singularity is an immensely powerful being from the planet Lorcus Prime in the Lost Galaxy. He had been engineered with enhanced strength and invulnerability and flight to act as defender of his people, but once the planet achieved a utopian society, he became a liability. The scientists of Lorcus Prime created a virtual world to which they secretly abandoned the Singularity and he could continue to protect his "imaginary people" from imaginary threats. Umbra, Monstress and Ultra Boy found themselves on Singularity's planet and he immediately considered them hostile and attacked. As the remaining Legionnaires entered the fray, Brainiac 5.1 and Ultra Boy destroyed the machinary which controlled the virtual imagery of the world and Singularity fled the planet in rage. |
