Scotland

Scotland was definitely exciting with her odd palette of greens from the landscape and the greys of the surviving monumental architecture. It all worked to set me back like I was swept back into the Middle Ages. To try to understand Scotland today, would naturally hinge on some basic topics: her history, the character of her Natives, all while considering her unique, rugged geography. I hope to shine some light on what I learned there.

I traveled there in September, which was certainly a fine time to visit. I traveled around while there mostly by train, or on foot. But there were many more options of which there was to travel when there. I lay these out, too.

Lodging and where to stay is also presented, with a variety of different options, click here for that page.

I visited several remarkably unique cities, admired residents' gardens and the raw beauty that was outside, and gawked like a little kid at their completely different from anything I have known, architecture.

I saw Churches, and Castles, and one Museum.

There are huge differences in the way the Brits differ from the Americans, in mentality, culture, land resources, in the way we treat our pets, to our tv viewing, our hobbies, and the sports in which we partake.
