'A Perspective on Love'
(derived in part from the writings of Rainer Maria Rilke)
Loving companionship is the strengthening of two neighbouring
solitudes.
...When a person abandons himself, he is no longer anything,
...When two people both give themselves up in
order to come close to each other, there is no longer any core,
any base
beneath them and their being together is a continued falling.
Once the realization is accepted that even between the closest
human
beings infinite distances will exist, a wonderful living
connection is
realized and side by side they can grow,-- connecting and
stretching, connecting and stretching...
If they are able to love the distance
between them this way, each can see the other as whole within the
vast universe.
Two love when each chooses the other to be guardian of his
solitude/individuality...and
in this, to support each other's confidence to BE and to grow in
freedom ...
Thank-you Cyan, and thank-you Robbie for validating my self-expression:
