Microsoft Management Console

The Microsoft Management Console (MMC) a.k.a. the Internet Service Manager is the focus for nearly all management activities on Windows NT Server.

 

Context Menus

Using the MMC, expand the tree under Internet Information Server. The WWW, FTP and SMTP servers installed in the previous steps will be displayed as the services MMC is configured to manage..

Scope Pane

            From the context menus select the Scope Pane.

 

                        A site can be placed in one of three states:

1.                  Running

Started and operating normally,

2.                  Paused

Continues to operate but will not permit new users to connect

3.                  Stopped

No longer operating.
