You guys may think I am really weird or dorky, for saying "loving your python" or some of you might say "I do love mine". I can remember the first time I saw my snake that I love very much. I was in petco buying fish for my other snake which I released to the wild, (Garter snake, those things are rambunctous little guys) and I went over to see the snakes, like I always do, and I saw this extrememly cute little ball python. I stayed for about 10 minutes and observed her. Then the next day I went back to visit again. After a few days of this, I decide to go up and buy her. As soon as I asked to handle her, she took a liking to me, as I did her. I brought little MEDEA home and got her all setup. I remember letting my friend hold her while I worked on getting everything ready, and I could have sworn she remembered me from the times I visted her, because which ever way I went she looked and tryed to come to me. Now that I have her I will be playing a game or something and she comes out to "observe me" and watch me play my video game its really funny. Anyway I think that if you show love to them as you would a dog or any other mammal pet; snakes also respond to it. Even though experts say that reptiles and other cold blooded creatures have no feelings. Just remember that the ball you have now, you will also have for in some cases 30 years. When you are at the petstore bring her (if the store allows it) look for little things for the terrarium, as you would a new bone for "Fido". In my case she did respond to love and she loves me back, its GREAT.
