The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes. " 1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God, 2 (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,) 3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; 4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. 17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith." (KJV Romans 1:1-4, 16-17)
When we put our trust in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ, we are justified by faith. "When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost." (KJV Galatians 3:9-11, 23-27) If we are justified by faith, we cannot also be justified by the works of the law. If we are justified by the works of the law, then it would nullify the effectivesness of Jesus' sacrifice. "9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. 10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. 11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. 22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. 23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. 24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. 26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ." (KJV Galatians 3:9-11, 23-27)
We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:" (KJV Romans 5:1)
We demonstrate our faith through our works. "Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only." (KJV James 2:24)
We can demonstrate our faith through the preaching of Jesus Christ. "2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry." (KJV 2 Timothy 4:2-5)
We will be counted faithful if we keep the faith till our last breadth. "Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him." (KJV Hebrews 10:38)
In keeping the faith till the end, we will be crowned with a crown of righteouness. "7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing." (KJV 2 Timothy 4:7-8)
When a person rejects the Lord Jesus Christ, it is because, he loves darkness, as his deeds are evil. "Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." (KJV John 8:12) "I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness." (KJV John 12:46) "And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil." (KJV John 3:19
A person who rejects the Lord Jesus Christ, is rejecting the Light. "This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all." (KJV 1 John 1:5) He does not believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. As such, he is walking in darkness. He knows not, where he is going. And being blind, he is not able to lead another man, to the light. When he falls into a ditch, the one following him, will likewise, fall in. "...he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth." (KJV John 12:35)
Believing in the Lord Jesus Christ, is to turn to God from the power of Satan. "13 At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me. 14 And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. 15 And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. 16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; 17 Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, 18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me." (KJV Acts 26:13-18)
Those who are in the Lord Jesus Christ are wrestling not against humans, but against Satan and his agents. "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." (KJV Ephesians 6:12)
How can one who is in the Light be in fellowship with another who is in darkness? We should have no fellowship but rather reprove them. "And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them." (KJV Ephesians 5:11)
Ecumenical movement is the work of Satan. How can there be any good coming out from Satan's work? "14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty." (KJV 2 Corinthians 6:14-18)
If we say we have fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ, and walk in darkness, then we have lied, and do not have the truth. "5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin." (KJV 1 John 1:5-7)
