These days, we see a barrage of nonsensical hypotheses being put forward to discredit the Lord Jesus Christ. To the unbelievers, the Lord Jesus Christ will be a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence. "6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. 7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, 8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed." (KJV 1 Peter 2:6-8)
Is it a surprise? Not at all, as the end times is approaching fast where many men, including the elect, will be lured into denying the truth and worshipping the Beast. They, unknowingly, worship Satan, who is operating behind the Beast. "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of the devil." (KJV 1 Timothy 4:1) "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." (KJV 2 Timothy 4:3-4)
God is allowing evil to develop to its most heinous form, before destroying it. All that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution."1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. 9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their's also was. 12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. 13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived." (KJV 2 Timothy 3:1-9, 12-13)
Believers in the Lord Jesus Christ are to put on the whole armour of God. For they wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against the devil and his minions. "11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints." (KJV Ephesians 6:11-18)
If we put our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, He will save us from the wrath to come. "And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come." (KJV 1 Thessalonians 1:10)
The Lord Jesus Christ will come to judge and make war with the unbelievers, the Beast, the False Prophet, and Satan. The unredeemed will mourn when they see Him come in power and in great glory. "And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory." (KJV Matthew 24:30)
The Beast will be revealed and destroyed. "And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming." (KJV 2 Thessalonians 2:8)
Satan will be bound in a chain and cast into the bottomless pit for a thousand years, before being let loose for a while. "1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, 3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. 4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. 7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison," (KJV Revelation 20:1-7)
With his short-lived freedom, Satan will lead an army against the Lord Jesus Christ and his saints, before finally being destroyed by God. This is the final rebellion allowed by God against His Son, Lord Jesus Christ. "8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. 9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them." (KJV Revelation 20:8-9)
After which, Satan will be thrown into the Lake of Fire, to be tormented, day and night for ever and ever. "10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. 10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. 11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." (KJV Revelation 20:10-15)
Ultimately, all victories belong to the Lion of Judah, the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, the Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ, to the glory of God the Father. "For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith." (KJV 1 John 5:4)
Hallelujah! The highest heaven and the universe, belongs to God, and He does as He pleases. "...whatsoever is under the whole heaven is mine." (KJV Job 41:11)
Glory be to God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, forever and ever. "To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen." (KJV 1 Peter 5:11)
