We have to recognise that we are spiritually dead. When we are born into the world, we inherited the sin and death by sin, of our first parents, Adam and Eve. "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned." (KJV Romans 5:12)
Consequently, we became the servant of sin, and unknowingly, we serve Satan. "In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them." (KJV 2 Corinthians 4:4)
To break the bonds of Satan on us, we have to choose to serve the Lord Jesus Christ. "And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; ... as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." (KJV Joshua 24:15)
Man has no way to save himself. However, God has made a way out for us. And it is the only way. He sent his only Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to die in our place for our sins. "10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. 11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." (KJV Acts 4:10-12) "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (KJV John 3:16)
The Lord Jesus Christ, himself, said that, he is the only way to the Father. "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (KJV John 14:6) "I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture." (KJV John 10:9)
All, who are in the Lord Jesus Christ, shall be made alive. Death has been conquered. There is no fear of death, anymore, for the believers. But thanks be to God, who has given us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Praise God for it. Hallelujah!!! And all God's people say, Amen. "22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come? 36 Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die: 37 And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain: 38 But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body. 44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. 51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." (KJV 1 Corinthians 15:22, 35-38, 44-45, 51-57)
He, who received the Lord Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour, is saved. "For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ." (KJV Romans 5:17)
It's God's free gift to us, when we received the Lord Jesus Christ into our heart, that we have eternal life. "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (KJV Romans 6:23) "8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast." (KJV Ephesians 2:8-9) "He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." (KJV John 3:18)
We must be converted and humble ourselves before God. "And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven." (KJV Matthew 8:13)
We must be born again. Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. "1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. 9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be? 10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? 11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. 12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? 13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." (KJV John 3:1-18)
We must believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. "26 And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert. 27 And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship, 28 Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet. 29 Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot. 30 And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest? 31 And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him. 32 The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth: 33 In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth. 34 And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man? 35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus. 36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? 37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. 38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him." (KJV Acts 8:26-38)
When we are baptized, we are baptized into the death of the Lord Jesus Christ. And just as the Lord Jesus Christ has been raised from the dead, so also, shall all the believers. We are dead unto sin but alive unto God through our Lord Jesus Christ. "3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: 6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7 For he that is dead is freed from sin. 8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: 9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. 10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. 11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord." (KJV Romans 6:3-11)
We must confess with our mouth, the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in our heart that God raised him from the dead. "9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (KJV Romans 10:9-13)
We need to confess our sins and receive the Lord Jesus Christ into our heart. The Lord Jesus Christ will forgive us of our sins and put us in right fellowship with God the Father. "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (KJV 1 John 1:8-9) "Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people." (KJV Hebrews 2:17)
If you have decided to receive the Lord Jesus Christ, then pray this prayer:
Dear God, I have sinned against you. Please forgive my sin. I believe that Jesus Christ is your Son and he died for my sin, was buried and arose again on the third day. I acknowledge Jesus Christ as the Lord of my life and promise to live an obedient life as taught in God's Word. I want Jesus to come into my heart right now and save me. I pray this, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
Live in peace with all men and holiness, without which, no man shall see the Lord. "14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord." (KJV Hebrews 12:14)
Hallelujah!!! You are now, a child of God and so, a member of God's family. Glory be to God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, forever more. "To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen." (KJV 1 Peter 5:11)
