Under legal pressure from someone claiming to be author "Wendy Connors" of "Project SIGN Research Center" I am FORCED to revise my biography page:

I am the owner of the vast majority of the material on your website: www.geocities.com/jamespatten/patten.html , whereby you claim to have written "Alfred Loedding and the Great Flying Saucer Wave of 1947." Also, you use my own personal information from my website, "Project SIGN Research Center," as your background.

You will cease immediately claiming the above to be your work or I will begin legal action.

Next she will claim that I have stolen her visage as well! And that is far from the truth. The reality is that brain-tranmission technologies have reached a point that memories can be implanted in an individual, and hense "Ms. Connors" imagines that she is somehow me, and then is let loose to discredit me. Shades of the ALL-SEE TRANQUILEYE! Until I can convince her of the reality of her situation, and to show good faith, I have removed my biography.

"Ms. Wendy" the next step is up to you. Get the help you need.

Returning from my Winter travels in Europe I was not shocked at all to receive via electronic mail another threatening letter from someone (who said they were "Wendy Connors") claiming to actually BE ME! As distrurbing as this might be, after my run in and SUCCESSFUL DEFENCE against John Stevenson and his MARSS [sic] PROJECT Cronies I know that, in the end, I will be successful.

Under the advanced legal threats of MR. JOHN H. STEVENSON of the MARS PROGRAM I have withdrawn several aspects of this site from this home page. My legal agreement with MR. STEVENSON allows me to place links to the pages in question below. MR. STEVENSON understands that I will not retract my initial claims. The page in question can be found HERE.

I have decided to withdraw from public research for a period of one year, effective May 1, 2001. The toll that MR. STEVENSON'S attacks have taken on me have been well documented in FATE and other publications. There is probably no greater desire on my part but to limit the damage to my family and to my business interests.
