hello people. friends, family, associates, loved ones. this is our holiday card. another first in a year of firsts. so, anyway, please read and enjoy and don't forget to update us on what you've been up to. our door (pictured to the left) is open to you all and we hope you stop by DC to hang loose sometime soon. |

on january 1, 2007, we were flying back from a vacation in thailand. here is lisa and jake's mom carol at doi sutep in chiang mai. it was a sweet vacation. we got to hang loose with jake's aunt martha, uncle john, grandma max and mom who all live in chiang mai. we spent a week or so up north doing touristy stuff and then flew south to do hedonistic things at the beach in phuket. this included eating coconut, snorkeling and getting massages. that felt good. |

who's that? it's jake's uncle john dropping knowledge about Buddha in chaing mai. funny thing: he started telling us about the life of Buddha (he teaches comparative religion stuff at payap university) and all these other folks started following him around to hear the stories and by the time we were done at the temple, we had a small crowd that gave him a big round of applause. skills. |
