page 3 is bangin! there's also 1 2 and 4
in june, we went to harvard massachusetts to witness the union of sarah saalfield and brian lavalle. jake and sarah met each other in 1976 and have known each other their whole lives. that's pretty rad.  lisa thinks the most genius moment was when an ice cream truck rolled up and gave out free sweets.  jake thinks the hotdog bonfire was raddest. in any case, we wish them awesomeness and welcome their baby adeline into the world.

there's no picture for this part (dumb!) but right after sarah's wedding, we went to hermit island campground in maine with jake's mom (carol) and bro (misha). we ate lobster and fried clams, drank delicious beers and threw the frisbee around. it was COLD ocean water but mom is a polar bear and went swimming like it was going out of style. that was some nice vacation.

but it ain't all vacation. we had to run back to DC because our offer on a house had been accepted and we were hashing out some inspection details. this is the pad - it's on capitol hill near lincoln park.  1,000 square feet of pure castle. as you can see, home builders back in 1900 didn't know how to center windows.  our neighbor roscoe donald has been a great help. he's usually under that shade on the right but no luck today.  this is where you can stay with us. you should do that. you'll notice a juvenile japanese maple tree in the yard.  just wait 25 years. it grows a foot/year and will someday have astounding white blossoms.
there's an inside too! i just took this pic while writing this letter so you know we keep it this clean everyday.  hardwoods? check.  exposed brick? check. blazing high-def plasma? check. no excuses, come visit us.
now that we have a back yard, we needed some trees. this is our second tree, a dogwood that has the same maturation problem as the japanese maple - but in a couple decades, it'll be great for climbing. in any case, this yard has extreme bbq potential, so please bring some kielbasa when you visit.
you did more? see page 4 for proof.
