| in february, jake went to andrew thompson's wedding in new zealand. it was sweet. here is some hiking action in tongariro national park. john, adam, cole and i walked around some noxious fumes coming out of the ground and talked about what was going on. it turns out there are no wild animals in new zealand. but there are lots of sheep. andrew, back to the point, did a great job of getting married to heather mansfield. they recently visited DC because heather's band, the brunettes, was playing at a local venue. you should come visit too. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| *** in early 2008, we went to the city of angels for a memorial service for lisa's dad ray who passed away the previous november. ray was a jazz trumpeter, an award-winning hair stylist, and a stage and screen make-up artist. he spent the last few years of his life pursuing his true passion: fishing. it was a somber occasion but an opportunity to catch up with loved ones. after the service, everyone went to lisa's aunt barbara's house for gumbo--a family tradition. *** |
