| "THE BRIDGE" |
| |
The Bridge was there for
quite some time
it was proud of where it lay
and whenever there are passers by
it would gladly help them cross.
But I began to wonder
why it was built
so I decided to cross the bridge
and thought that it was for.
It is a path, it makes ends meet
It is like a friend who helps you get though
All your squabbles, all your blues.
All bridge is also in a tale
Like the tale of the headless horseman
and Mr. Ichabod Crane
Often a bridge is in between waters
It's on something high, something separated
A bridge lets you walk over the river
It helps you get from one end to another
We need bridges in our life
To help us get through
But just think if there were none
What do you think would you do?
True, it is something that connects
Just like long ago
When the gap between man and god was too wide
A man was sent with a love to show
He was Jesus and became the bridge
And so as I reached the end the bridge
I looked back and slightly smiled
I couldn't imagine my life without bridges
For surely I wouldn't have made it through.
