Zendel.
In the heart of what used to be one of the most beautiful lands in the world, sits Zendel. An ancient city of sorcerers, mages, wizards, and clerics, were those with skills in the arts of magick lived and prospered for nearly a millennia. Now what are mere ruins of a resounding city, was once the center of myth and magick of the world. Visitors to Zendel were always in for a treat that would defy their wildest dreams.
The city itself was built in the middle of a huge valley, surrounded by treacherous cliffs, which rivaled the protection of even the Walls of Isis. Zendel turned out some of the most powerful magick users ever seen, and was named for the great mage Zendel Desdemona who became the first Lord of the city.
Alas, only a few decades ago did the magnificent city of Zendel fall to the most unexpected of causes. Magola Desdemona, one of the most promising sorcerers in the history of the Desdemona family and the city of Zendel, turned against his family and friends and helped outsiders destroy the city and massacre the occupants.
Now all that is left of this once beautiful city and it's people, is a castle that sits forlornly in the midst of the cliffs, watching over the ruins like some grim ghost gazing longingly into a past that can not be reclaimed...
