Isis.

This place is a must visit in ones life time as it is a spectacle of unusual sorts. Stuck in the middle of the Devil's Land, a region of black earth, extreme heat, and lava pits, it is nothing short of amazing how much this city has grown and prospered!

The city itself has high stone walls, a good two stories in height, and is surrounded by a mote of lava! Even on the darkest nights the city seems to glow thanks to the pools of lava in the surrounding area. Inside the cities walls all the buildings are made from stone, after all wood catches fire to easily in such a place. But the most interesting thing about Isis is the fact that it doesn't get nearly as hot within the walls of the city as it does on the outside. In fact while the temperatures outside may reach 120+ degrees F on the hotter days of the year, Isis itself never gets any warmer the 85 F. The locals claim it's because of the stone that the walls and buildings were built with. They say that it was hauled all the way from the snowy north where the temperature has never risen above freezing, and that to this day it counteracts the heat of the Devil's Land.

Any traveler who should want to venture here should make sure not to where heavy clothing and to try to travel mostly in the evening. Those who try to trek across the land in the summer months commit themselves to a slow and painful death under the hot sun. Wise travelers only visit during the seasons of Winter and Fall when the temperatures of the land drop to the high 80s.

The cities population is one of the largest in the land, and is slowly growing in number. Trees and plants are grown inside the city, and you will find many different kinds of exotic fruits for sale in the market place. Shops and stores line the main street of the city and there is no shortage of street acts and performances to watch as you walk about.

The city is known for it's huge and lavish celebrations, including the King's Feast and the Festival of Fools. Some say that Isis is destined to for greatness while others think it is headed down a darker path. Thieves, bandits, slave traders, and all sorts of other horrible characters are from and live in this city.. Alcohol flows freely to young and old and it's moral standards are some of the lowest in the land.
