Crystal Haven.
The kingdom of Heaven itself could not contend with this amazing place. It is a sanctuary of peace, where all races live together in harmony. To bad it is merely a myth.
The legendary myth of Crystal Haven is a wide spread one amongst seasoned travelers and aimless wanderers a like. Nothing more then a tall tale taken from local lore of none other then the quiet village of Nova. The people of Nova insist that their modest community was started by a small group of travelers from Crystal Haven.
It is said that, after growing tired of a life above the rest of the world and away from the rest of humanity, a group came together to leave the safe confines of their kingdom and set foroworth on an adventure to see all there was to be seen. For, there are no forests or meadows in Crystal Haven. Nor are there many animals to see.
Built on one of the tallest peaks in the world, and burried deep in the western mountians, Crystal Haven litterally sits at the top of the world. Surrounded by jagged peaks and treachurous cliffs, often the only view to be seen is that of thick clouds surrounding the other mountian tops. And, even on clearer days, endless peaks are all that is to be seen. The only body of water within the area is a massive waterfall, unparralleled by any other in creation. The river flows strait through the main city, through the castle walls, and right out the other side! Less then half a mile from the castle the river collects in a small lake, which was man made, and overflows into smaller outlets which flow over the side of the mountain.
The main city is said to be built completley out of Eden's Crystal. An amazing crystal which has the ability to absorb the energy of the sun or moon and store it. The crystal will then glow a brilliant shade of yellow, or a pale blue, depending on which is in the sky. Sunset and sunrise cause the city walls and structures to glow deep shades of crimson, burnt orange, and gold. After sunset these vibrant colors slowly fade and give way to soft blue and white hues, which glow just as bright as the full moon, casting a bueatiful light over the city streets. On days and nights of clouds and storms, the crystal structures still have enough energy to glow there brightest, chasing away depression on even the gloomiest of days.
Some people say that Crystal Haven is the home of those higher then ourselves. Those of the purest heart and soul, who watch over the world and keep the balance between good and evil from teetering.
There is a saying which is often times used in prayer by the elders of Nova. "When the City of Crystal falls, may Eden see fit to spare the righteous from the darkness that befalls the world."
A myth that is worth the time to tell..
