Leaflet No. 8> Translation

A two page leaflet post-Saraswati Puja, recounting the unprecedented camaraderie evidenced in the pandal and individually thanking(in part 2) members for their role in making the Puja a success! This is a printable gif image with transparent areas between black text. The background white of the webpage is showing through.

English Translation (well..., more or less)

Dear Neighbour,

THANK YOU!

The Saraswati Puja was celebrated amidst huge gaiety. Thanks goes to all of you. Those who could attend, and those who couldn't. To e-v-e-r-y-o-n-e! The Parivesh Suraksha Committee was born on 24th Feb 2002. Then we were forgotten and wretched souls in a dirty no-man's land. We used to be ashamed of our filthy and uncivilized place of residence.

The pond behind the fence is still dirty, an incubator for mosquitoes. The only source of water for firemen is cloogged with weeds. Still - there is a difference between now and then. And the credit is entirely yours.

What unprecedented sights at the Puja pandal! What camaraderie! Couldn't have imagined a year ago when we were largely strangers. Now it looks as if we had known each other since ages! We "aggressively" served each other during lunch, sang in a chorus in the evening.
