JACKIE - HER LAST WEEKS

Jackie was diagnosed with Chronic Renal Failure during the Summer of 1997. These pictures were taken at my cottage in Pittsfield, Massachusetts during her last weeks. In and out of the hospital and the vets, I would take her away to the country which she loved and occasionally she would be able to play with her favorite "string toy" (had to pull up the carpet because of her vomiting) or sit on my shoulders, as she loved to do - but most of the time she just slept.
