| The award that recognizes unique and rare sites in the "Dawson's Creek" community. Each month, the Just Jack staff will choose a site to receive the Snowflake Award. Unique and rare sites are...well, rare so there might not always be a winner. If you'd like to nominate a site, read the following simple qualifications and then email it to us. 1. The site must be up and running at the current time. That means all sections are open and working. 2. rare (adj) - seldom seen or found 3. unique (adj) - having no like or equal; being the only one of its kind 4. The site must be updated. Not left for internet death. **The Snowflake Award is on hiatus.** Past Winners: February 2001 Who: The Dawson and Joey Fic Collection by Daizy and the Collection staff. What: An archive of the best Dawson and Joey fan fiction on the net. Why: Hard to believe, but it is the first in it's existance. There's tons of P/J archives, but not one soley devoted to D/J. The layout is user friendly, organized by author and categories like "Originals," "Classics", "Season 1," etc. Acceptance Speech: "Thank you so much, Just Jack. Like us, you saw a void in the fan fiction community, and filled it. We're very proud of our site and so honored that you'd extend this award to us. While D/J may be a more conventional coupling, I promise that we have some quality pieces and only accept the best. Thanks again for the honor." ~Daizy March 2001 Who: The Dawson's Creek Slash Archive by Kristin. What: An archive of slash fan fiction for "Dawson's Creek" characters ranging from Jack/Pacey to Jen/Joey. Why: Kristin's site was the first for purely DC slash fic. It's without a doubt the most established and comprehensive DC slash website where you can find any coupling you're earning for. Some of the fics on JJ are linked to Kristin's site thanks to her generousity. Acceptance Speech: "Wow. Thank you so much. And thanks also for reminding me to update today. I really appreciate this. Never got awarded anything before. Rock! I love your site (of course) so I'm all honored and stuff." ~Kristin April 2001 Who: Simply Diabolical by Cariaan. What: A Drue/Joey shipper site. Why: This is the first Drue/Joey site, and any kind of Drue site for that matter. It has some of the best fan fiction I've ever read and a simple, yet stylish design and graphics. Many Drue related sites have now appeared, and this site had got something to do with it definitely. Acceptance Speech: "Thank you so much. I'm incredibly honored. I never thought anyone would even go to a site for Drue/Joey much less that it would ever win anything. So thank you very much." ~Cariaan September 2001 Who: Dawson's Creek Multimedia by liquid crystal design What: A Dawson's Creek fansite that focuses on multimedia content. Why: DC Multimedia offers tons of original content and features. Play the Jack Sliding Puzzle game. Find out who Jack kissed in the Who Kissed Who guide. Or better yet, visit my favorite feature: the entensive episode guide that includes transcripts, summaries, pics, bloopers (so fun), and interesting tidbits (did you know Jack and Joey never put those lobsters back in the tank?)..
